Program Overview
This program is designed for young, motivated individuals looking to enter the hospitality and tourism industry through one of the most exciting sectors—international cruise ships.
Students will undergo comprehensive training at IIHTM’s Mauritius-based campus in:
Cruise ship operations
Guest service and hospitality management
Safety and emergency procedures
Cross-cultural communication and onboard etiquette
U.S. cruise line standards and expectations
Upon successful completion, participants will be placed under employment contracts with U.S.-based cruise companies and supported in applying for the appropriate American work visa.
Application & Selection Process
To begin, prospective candidates must complete the pre-selection process by submitting:
Initial Application
Please provide the following documents:
A clear copy of your valid passport
Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) with full educational and professional background
A short video introduction (1–2 minutes) where you explain your motivation, personality, and readiness to work in an international cruise environment
This stage allows our admissions team to evaluate your communication skills, professionalism, and commitment.
Selection and Offer Letter
If selected, you will receive an official offer letter from IIHTM confirming your acceptance into the training program. This letter includes:

Training schedule and curriculum
Expected conduct and responsibilities
Document Submission & Enrollment
To confirm your enrollment and prepare for visa processing and job placement, selected candidates must submit the following original documents:
Medical certificate issued by a licensed doctor
Chest X-ray report
Hepatitis B test result
HIV/AIDS test result
Original bank statement showing a closing balance of at least USD 10,000 (to prove financial capacity)
Diploma or highest education certificate (minimum: high school level)
These documents are essential for compliance with Mauritius immigration laws.
Cruise Training at IIHTM in Mauritius
You will join a 6-month full-time training program at our IIHTM campus, where you’ll benefit from:

Job Contract & U.S. Visa Application

Once your visa is approved, you will be deployed to your assigned cruise ship, ready to begin your career
